& The Practicalities 7pm – Carrickmacross Library
The World Health Organisation estimate that 1 child in 160 has an autism spectrum disorder. There is no known single cause
for autism, although the best available science points to important genetic components. But what exactly is Autism? How is a diagnosis made and how do you deal with it? Join us as we learn about the Autism Spectrum and it’s many guises. We will also be joined by Lorraine Cotter, a mother of children with Autism, who will discuss the practicalities of parenting children who are on the Spectrum.
