Are you single and ready to mingle? Looking for the love of your life or wondering how to get a bit of Chemistry going across a crowded office?
It all comes down to Science! Emer Maguire is Northern Ireland’s brightest science star. Emer was named the best science communicator in the UK in 2015 by the prestigious International science competition, Famelab. Since then, Emer has gone on to deliver talks at TEDx, to perform her sold out debut solo show “Sexy Science” across Ireland, to present and co-host at the renowned Thinking Digital Conferences in Newcastle and London, and to promote science to the general public on radio and through science festival events all over the UK and Ireland. Emer covers topics such as The Science of Kissing, and writes and performs science comedy songs such as “Beaver Fever” and “A Scientifically Accurate Love Song" to sold out audiences. As a result, it’s easy to see why Emer’s approach to science has captured the imagination of the public. In June 2017, Emer continued her domination of the science communication world on an international scale; she was named the winner of the International Science Stars competition in Kazakhstan in Central Asia. From October 2017, Emer is going to be the presenter of a brand new science and tech show on BBC Radio Ulster.
